In 2009, Omid has moved to the United States and despite his unrelated professional background, his unbridled passion for audio led him back to university to obtain an Electronics Engineering degree and a position as Harman’s Audio Engineering intern in November 2015. During his internship, Omid established himself as a valuable contributor to the Harman’s R&D team working closely with the Sr. Pr. Acoustic Engineer and Acoustic Research Fellow which led him to be a co-author of two AES papers on “The Preferred Low Frequency Response of In-Ear Headphones” and “Validation of a Virtual In-ear Headphone Listening Test Method”. In April of 2016, Harman has hired Omid as an Acoustic Engineer. Omid’s work is focused on objective and subjective tests and research on the perception and measurement of headphones, loudspeakers, room acoustics and automotive audio.
