Brent Butterworth has worked as an audio journalist, marketing manager and technical consultant since 1989. He currently writes for SoundStage, Home Theater Review and the Wirecutter, and has served as marketing director for Dolby Laboratories, editor-in-chief of Home Theater and Home Entertainment magazines, and contributing technical editor for Sound & Vision magazine. He writes marketing and technical materials for audio companies, and also consults with manufacturers on design and tuning of audio products, with a special focus on active speakers and DSP tuning. He works as an education consultant for AVnu Alliance, an industry organization created to establish and promote AVB and TSN networking standards.
