Brett’s lifelong obsession with music and sound has led in many directions over a lifetime - from retail, to artist, to recording and engineering - all culminating into a deep focus on archiving that draws from decades of experience. His passion eventually led him to Iron Mountain Entertainment Services where has worked at Iron Mountain Digital Studios for the better part of a decade, with a focus on archiving, restoration, and research. This is where he utilizes his broad skillset not only for digital restoration, mastering, and stem mixing for film and television, but also to preserve and protect invaluable historical assets for such clients as Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner Bros., and Round Hill Records, as well as countless educational foundations, government institutions, and private collections. Utilizing best industry practices, as well as assisting in developing emerging techniques, he commonly works with not only the earliest examples of recordings, but also the newest cutting edge technology. Creating high definition transfers with an emphasis on fidelity and longevity are at the core of his philosophy.
