Pei Yu was born in Yangzhou, China, in 1996. She received a B.S. degree in acoustics from the School of Physics, Nanjing University in 2016. She is currently pursuing a PhD. degree at the Institute of Acoustics in Nanjing University, under the supervision of Prof. Yong Shen, specializing in electroacoustics.
