Dave Harries started out as a technical engineer at Abbey Road studios, where, with Sir George Martin, he recorded The Beatles' first version of "Strawberry Fields Forever." He later became technical director and studio manager at AIR Oxford Circus and was chief designer of AIR Montserrat. Harries is currently a technical consultant at Mark Knopfler's British Grove studios in London. In addition to The Beatles, he has worked with Pink Floyd, Donovan, the Beach Boys, and the Temptations.
