Douglas began sampling instruments in the early 1980s during the advent of digital audio and sampling. His sound design and publishing includes music, samples, virtual instruments and products that have helped and inspired thousands of customers and clients across the globe.
Current projects include outside team project management for Guitar Center Private Brands; Williams Pianos & Simmons Drums.
Founded Q Up Arts.com LLC in 1993, publisher of one of the most extensive and culturally diverse catalogs of sampled sounds and loops in the world. Douglas also produces music and audio for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Wyland's Ocean Artist Society and many other clients.
