Primary Affiliation: Hanyang University - Seoul, Korea
Mr. Muhammad Imran is associated with “Acoustics Lab” at Department of Architectural Engineering Hanyang University Seoul, Korea as a PhD Candidate since 2013.
He declared his Master Degree in Physics from Pakistan in 2001 and continued his academic and professional endeavours in the field of Acoustics for Virtual Reality (VR), Immersive Spatial Audio and multi-modal auralization for VR systems.
He has an experience of ten years for working on microphone arrays, sound source localization, tracking and beamforming methods.
His research activities at Acoustics Lab encompass the development of algorithm for spatio-temporal analysis of sound field, development of real-time rendering methodologies for auralization of sound filed in augmented and virtual reality environments.
Imran is currently leading a project on "immersive audio rendering methodologies for virtual architectural environments and establishing real-time interactivity among users and VR spaces for telepresence systems and interactive video games".
He has contributed patents, and number of publications in different journals and proceedings including “Audio for games (AES-61) conference” and presented a real-time frame work on virtual sound synthesis of rigid bodies interaction handling for impact, friction and rolling sound.
