Tom Parnell is a sound engineer with fifteen years of experience broadcasting music, drama and speech on the BBC’s radio networks. He works on speech programmes, radio drama, outside broadcasts, and his orchestral and chamber music balances take him to concert halls across the UK. Tom is currently working on object-based audio mixes of binaural and spatial productions for BBC Research & Development, including the sound for a virtual reality installation, The Turning Forest (which was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2016), and binaural recordings from the 2016 BBC Proms.
