Masahiro Ikeda is the manager of System Platform Group in Audio Technology Development Department, Yamaha Corporation. After joining Yamaha in 1995, he has been working as an acoustical consultant while carrying out various research projects in spatial acoustics. His consulting project includes Arkas Sasebo PAC with 2000 seats theater and 500 seats concert hall, Ala Kani PAC with 1000 and 300 seats theater, schools, auditoriums, and various types of projects. He and his team have been working for a wide range of research projects covering electro-acoustic system, computational acoustics, acoustic measurement, signal processing, 3-D auditory control, virtual reality, and psycho acoustics. Ikeda studied theory and computational analysis of the acoustics during his master course study in Kyoto University. Ikeda is a member of the Acoustical Society of Japan, Audio Engineering Society and Acoustical Society of America and is a senior registered architect in Japan.
