Vaclav Eksler

Vaclav Eksler was born in Opava, Czech Republic, in 1978. He received the electrical engineering degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and communications from the Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic, in 2002 and 2006, respectively.
He joined the Speech and Audio Coding Research Group at the University of Sherbrooke, QC, Canada, as a Research Engineer in 2005. He is also a Research Professional at VoiceAge Corporation, Montreal, QC, Canada, since 2005. His research interests cover low bitrate speech and audio coding, speech enhancement, audio source separation, and speech communications over packet networks. He has been involved in several international standardization efforts within ITU and 3GPP. He is an author of a number of scientific papers and patent applications.
