1984 Bmus honours degree “Tonmeister” from Uni. Of Surrey.
1984 start work as recording engineer/editor with Philips Classics
1986 continue at Philips Classics, also as balance engineer. Work with great artists like Sir Neville Marriner, Sir John Elliot Gardiner, Valery Gergiev and many more.
Special interest in surround sound recording and start to assist Philips Eindhoven with surround sound for SA-CD. Recorded the first ever full SA-CD to introduce the format to the public in Berlin 1999 IFA.
Co-director of Polyhymnia International after buy-out recording department Philips Classics October 1998.
With Polyhymnia co-founder of Pentatone Classics in 2000/2001. Engineer of many surround sound projects, also from 2003 onwards with the Russian label Caro Mitis.
From around 2006 to now involved with live opera and ballet recording and relays, of the Bolshoi Theatre’s performances with producer Philippe Engel. He is in the picture with me caught in the act of mixing live.
In the last year Erdo is also more and more working as producer, also with projects togehter with Russian National Orchestra and Mikhail Pletnev.
