Primary Affiliation: PSI Audio - Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland
Roger Roschnik is the CEO of PSI Audio who manufactures monitors under their own brand as well as original equipment manufacturer.
PSI Audio has been working for close to 40 years at making the most accurate possible loudspeakers. Having a perfect source of sound is paramount but the characteristics of the room are also very important and low frequencies are the most difficult to control.
PSI Audio engineers have been thinking about active absorption for decades and developed several prototypes over the years. 3 years ago, the project of active low frequency absorption qualified to benefit from Swiss Government funded academic research. 2 academic partners and 2 industrial partners have worked together on the project that has now resulted in 2 patents and a first commercial product.
Roger holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Thermodynamics as well as an MBA. Music and acoustic have been his passion since he was a child.
