Andrew Poulain is Director, Cinema Audio Solutions for Dolby Laboratories where he is responsible for the company’s portfolio of audio products for exhibition. Poulain was central in bringing Dolby Atmos to the cinematic market overseeing the development of the Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP850, Dolby Atmos specification, room design software and automatic equalization tools for studio and cinema calibration. Prior to Dolby, Poulain was Director of Cinema and Studio Programs at THX where he was responsible for venue certification, professional equipment approval and trailer measurements for the Trailer Audio Standards Association (TASA). Poulain is a member of the AES and SMPTE.
