Filippo Maria Fazi graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brescia (Italy) in 2005. He obtained his PhD in acoustics from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) of the University of Southampton, UK, in 2010, with a thesis on sound field reproduction. In the same year, he was awarded a fellowship by the Royal Academy of Engineering and by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Southampton. Dr Fazi’s research interests include Audio technologies, Electroacoustics, and Digital Signal Processing, with special focus on acoustical inverse problems, multi-channel systems, virtual acoustics, microphone and loudspeaker arrays.
