John Crossley

John is programme leader for BSc Music Technology and Production at the University of Derby. He is an active music producer and has run several recording studios and record labels. He has produced and remixed many artists including Depeche Mode, David Bowie and New Order. He spent a number of years teaching at HND level in a Further Education college, and joined Derby University full-time in 2002. John’s specialism is studio production and music business and by remaining active in the industry he brings that experience to his teaching. He is an accredited trainer for both Apple Logic Pro and Avid ProTools. His research area of interest is the practical application of surround sound systems in live performance.
