Kristofer Kjörling

Kristofer Kjörling received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, 1997. He subsequently began working for Coding Technologies with research on Spectral Band Replication. From 1997 to 2007 he was working at Coding Technologies as a researcher, holding the position of Head of Research Strategy. He worked on numerous MPEG Audio standards during 10 years of active work in the MPEG Audio Subgroup, Since 2007 he is employed by Dolby, where he holds the position of "Principal Member, Research staff". In 2013 he was to co-recipient of the IEEE Masaru Ibuka Consumer Electronics award for his work on MPEG-4 High Efficiency AAC.In recent years he has led the audio coding research in Dolby Laboratories and specificallly the work on AC-4.
