U. Peter Svensson

Peter Svensson is professor in electroacoustics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway, since 1999. He has an M.Sc. (Eng. Phys.) and a Ph.D. in applied acoustics from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. He has had research stays at University of Reading, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Kobe University, and University of Waterloo. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and the IEEE, and a fellow of the Acoustical Society of America. His current research interests are auralization techniques, including sound field simulation methods, 3D audio techniques for loudspeakers and microphones, perceived quality, as well as the interaction of room acoustics and electroacoustics in video conferencing and similar applications.
