AES Paris 2016 Presenter or Author
Bogic Petrovic
Primary Affiliation: MyRoom Acoustics - Belgrade, Serbia
Born in Serbia 1966. Graduated with Diploma Engineer in Electrical Engineering 1991., Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Belgrade University. Working from 1991-2005 in Applied Physics and Telecommunications, as Electronics Designer. Started BoZo Electronics with Zorica Davidovic in 2005., to focus on Telecommunications, Audio Electronics, Acoustics and Electroacoustics. An API 500 microphone preamplifier module was designed in that period, called MPA3. In 2006, a very first room with basic MyRoom Acoustics Design principle was designed and built. The principle was described as a paper for 129th AES Convention in 2010.
After end of BoZo Electronics, it is started MyRoom Acoustics with Zorica Davidovic, again in 2011., with full focus on Acoustics and Electroacoustics, for later research and development of MyRoom Acoustics Design principle and custom studio monitor design. After Zorica’s death 2013., online studio building acoustic consultant service was started and practicing, without designer presence necessary in situ.
Main publications (4) were on AES, Telfor and ETRAN conferences/conventions, and cover different areas of interests as Acoustics, Telecomunications and Optoelectronics.
Main objective wasn’t changed, and it is providing better small room studio acoustic design for both stereo and surround using all available knowledge from Acoustics, Electroacoustics and Electronics, and to educate people to know and feel the benefits of better small room studio acoustics, and popularize it this way.
