Takayuki Watanabe

Takayuki Watanabe received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Meiji University, Kawasaki, Japan. He joined Yamaha Corp., Hamamatsu, Japan, in 1987 and engaged in research & development on architectural acoustics and electro acoustics. He has been working as an acoustical consultant while carrying out various research projects in spatial acoustics. His consulting project includes Shirakawa Hall with 700 seats concert hall, Osaka Central Public Hall with 1,100 seats lecture hall, Hakata-za with 1,500 seats traditional Japanese theater, studios, auditoriums, and various types of buildings. His current work lies in research & development of Yamaha’s acoustic enhancement system, which is called AFC, along with the design and tuning of them. Watanabe is a member of the Acoustical Society of Japan and Acoustic Engineering Society.
