Germano Nicollini

Germano Nicollini was born in Piacenza, Italy. He received the degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universita’ di Pavia, Pavia, Italy, in 1981.
From 1982 to 2008 he worked for ST-Microelectronics, Agrate Brianza, Italy, where he was involved in and managed the design of analog and mixed-signal ICs for wired and wireless telecommunication.
From 2008 to 2013 he was in ST-Ericsson, Agrate Brianza, Italy, where he worked as technical director of the Audio & Converter Expertise Center.
At the end of 2013 he joined the Audio, MEMS, and Sensor Group in ST-Microelectronics, Cornaredo, Italy, where he is presently acting as a Company Fellow.
During part of the academic years 1990-1991 and 1991-1992, he was a Visiting Professor at the Universita’ di Genova, Genova, Italy, and he has served the ISSCC technical program committee from 2006 to 2008. He has specialized in the areas of sigma-delta conversion for audio and RF baseband processing, and acoustic interfaces, and is a coauthor of several conference and journal papers in these fields. He has been granted 65 patents and has several pending patents.
