Richard Lenz is President of RealAcoustix LLC in Ogden, Utah, an industry leader in architectural acoustics. He studied acoustics and music at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has been in the field of sound for over 35 years. After college he became a live sound engineer for artists such as Sammy Davis, Jr., Frank Sinatra, Gladys Knight and many others. Early in his career he designed and built speaker systems for both concert touring and fixed installations and owned the largest sound and lighting company in Las Vegas. He has also owned 3 recording studios and a live concert venue in Las Vegas in the ensuing years. Richard has dedicated the last few years to the design and development of acoustic products for the audio industry with particular emphasis on diffusion and frequency specific absorption products. He is a member of AES, ASA and ASTM.
