Mr. Atias started his professional audio career as a systems and production engineer in New York circa 1972 with the RKO Radio Network, SoundWorks and Sound One Recording Studios, and then Unitel Video. Relocating to D.C. in 1987, he worked as a design engineer for the Booz, Allen & Hamilton consulting firm on a VOA radio station design contract.
In 1989 he started his present company, ATS Communications, a location audio production firm and specialty equipment sales company for television sound. Today the company does commercial and professional sound system design and integration as well as live music recording.
He became interested in Mr. Richardson's Rezerex work in 2005 and continues in an advisory capacity.
