Curtis Rex Reed

Rex Reed was born in Logan, Utah. He holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University with an emphasis in Digital Signal Processing and Control Systems. In his 19 year career at Harman International Rex has held positions as DSP Engineer for DOD Electronics and dbx Professional Products where he developed DSP for many products including the DriveRack line of loudspeaker processors. In 2006 Rex took the position as Director of Engineering for BSS Audio where he drove the development of the highly successful Soundweb London product line. Rex moved into a Marketing role in 2008 as Business Segment Director for Installed Audio market where he doubled the revenue for BSS Audio. His role expanded in 2010 to include Portable PA products for dbx and BSS Audio. In his current position as Director of Engineering for the Harman Professional, Signal Processing Business Unit he is responsible for research and development of BSS Audio, dbx, Lexicon and DigiTech products. Rex is holds patents on Feedback Elimination and Ambient Noise Compensation. He currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah with his wife Naydean and 3 children.
