Phil Wagner is President of Focusrite Novation Inc., a leading provider of professional audio equipment and musical instruments. With a rich background in recording, live sound, system integration and networking, Wagner began his career as a recording engineer in New York's legendary Soundworks Studio (with clients like Donald Fagen and Steely Dan). He then moved on to work at several recording console companies including Soundcraft and Rupert Neve Inc in the 80s and then Solid State Logic (for 17 years), eventually becoming President of SSL's U.S. operation. In 2010 Focusrite Novation Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Focusrite UK, was established to have a dedicated American presence for the U.K. company. Wagner was appointed President, and is a member of the company’s U.K. Board of Directors.
