Sam Kusnetz

Sam Kusnetz has been designing, composing, photographing, filming, stage managing, and solving all manner of theatrical challenges for nearly twenty years.
Sam's sound designs have been heard Off-Broadway at theaters like The New Victory, The Working Theater, and Jean Cocteau Repertory; Regionally at Portland Center Stage, and at schools like CUNY and Fordham University.
As an associate and assistant designer, Sam has worked with established and respected designers such as Darron West, David Van Tieghem, Jill Du Boff, Leah Gelpe, Bart Fasbender, and Jeremy Lee. His input has helped guide sound system designs at Lincoln Center’s Claire Tow theater and the Pershing Square Signature Center.
Sam has been the Production Manager of Performing Arts at Buck’s Rock Performing and Creative Arts Camp in New Milford, CT since 2006, where he has overseen approximately 180 productions from start to finish, and designed sound or projections for many of them. Sam is proud to be a member of the team at Figure 53, makers of QLab and other tools for artists.
Sam is also the founder of Team Sound and the creator of the Go Box, a rugged, compact, affordable controller for theatrical equipment.
Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater, Speech, and Dance from Brown University, class of 2002.
