Gordon Reid was educated as an astrophysicist at Leicester University and Cambridge University, UK. He became the founder employee of CEDAR Audio Ltd in 1989, and the company’s Managing Director in 1994. Over the past 25 years he has presented numerous papers and workshops on the subject of audio restoration and speech enhancement, and was the workshop co-chairman of the 39th AES International Conference on Audio Forensics. He has had more than 300 articles published worldwide, and his series of sixty-three essays entitled Synth Secrets is used as the educational text for music technology courses in the UK and the USA.
