It focuses on creating immersive virtual auditory environments (VAEs) such as those found in gaming or virtual reality simulations. The research enables scientific advances in perceptual modelling of dynamic sound source/listener movement and elevation, adapting to head movements and translation of the listening position in an interactive game, providing a new algorithmic basis for enhanced spatial audio quality, focus and immersion.
