Sven-Amin Lembke holds a PhD degree in music technology from McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada. He is generally interested in the role of musical timbre in orchestration and performance practice and its relationship to auditory perception and acoustics, with his doctoral work having investigated the common orchestration techniques of blending and contrasting timbres. These investigations also addressed aspects related to musical-performance and audio-recording practice. He currently is a lecturer in music and audio technology at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK.
