Jens Schönemann-Paul received an M.Sc.E.E. in 1992 from the Technical University of Denmark. His studies had a broad focus on electro-, psycho- as well as architectural acoustics and his master’s thesis was a comprehensive study of room acoustic properties in sound studio control rooms. The study, and subsequent 20+ years in the industry, have given him a deep understanding of the physical characteristics of the individual parts of a loudspeaker system, their interaction with rooms and the perceptual consequences.
From 1992 to 2005 he work on concept and product development at A/V-manufacturer Bang & Olufsen, DK and is the architect behind numerous successful products. He joined Dynaudio, DK in ´05 for a period and worked primarily on the BM-series of active studio monitors. After a short time as application engineer at Tymphany, DK he founded the company, Schacoustics in ‘07 offering acoustical competencies for development of loudspeakers of any kind. Lately he has focused on design and tuning of high end sound systems for renowned international automotive brands as well as design of active studio monitors among many other tasks.
Recently Mr. Schönemann-Paul joined Dynaudio again and is now focusing on concept and product development in all categories as well as building up new R&D facilities.
