Currently, I am Staff Engineer at the Dolby office in Barcelona (Sound Tech. R&D) and visiting lecturer at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
I have a background in theoretical physics. I started my research career Ph.D in quantum effects in gravitation the University of Barcelona. In 2008, I decided to refocus my career in the world of audio, and started collaborating with the Audio Group of Barcelona Media (a technology center devoted to the media industry), before getting a full-time position in 2009.
In Barcelona Media I participated in European and national research projects devoted to immersive audio applications for the media industry and environmental noise prediction, and contributed to the algorithms that engineered the start-up company Imm Sound, acquired by Dolby in 2012. From 2012, to 2014, I was the director of the audio group in Barcelona Media, where I did research in spatial audio, acoustical imaging, automatic sound recognition and ultrasounds. In June 2014 I joined the research team in Dolby's Barcelona office, pursuing the spatial audio research.
