I’m a post-doc researcher in Music Information Retrieval at the Politecnico di Milano University, working at Image and Sound Processing Group (ISPG), Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioignegneria. I received my MSc degree in Computer Science at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna and a subsequent PhD degree in 2013 at the Politecnico di Milano University. My doctoral thesis titled "Content-based macro-descriptors for music classification and multimedia information retrieval" describes novel methods on the application of Machine Intelligence for Music Semantic Description modelling. My main research interest includes Music Information Retrieval, Music Emotion Recognition and Music Emotion Variation Detection, ontology-based information management for modelling musical instruments knowledge and feature-based analysis of musical instruments. I recently took part on a project related to the development of systems for Networked Music Performance. I also had a long experience in music production as sound engineer in studio recordings and live concert.
