Gabriel Moreno was born in Valencia, Spain. He received the title of Technical Engineer in Telecommunications specializing in Sound and Image in 2011 and the Master Degree in Acoustical Engineering in 2012 (both at Universitat Politecnica de Valencia). He is a vocational professional highly focused on audio research and development. His first works in the field were related to the development of signal processing and acoustics applications, such as software audiometers and acoustic parameter estimators for smartphone technology. He joined the Institute for Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications in 2012, working for the Telefonica Chair in Telecommunications, under pioneering projects as a 3D audiometer or real-time active noise cancellation app for mobile devices. He currently works as a researcher at the Signal Processing and Acoustic Technology (SPAT) group at the Universidad de Valencia, focusing most of his efforts on spatial audio research.
