Sam Berkow is the founder of SIA Acoustics and SIA Software Company, Inc. SIA Acoustics is a design firm, specializing in the design of performing arts and production facilities.
Recent projects include the new SFJAZZ Center (in S.F.), Jazz at Lincoln Center's Doha facility, The Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas (a 2000 seat rock venue), eTown Hall Boulder Colorado, The Studios at SST (Weehawkin NJ, Airshow's Takoma Park Facility & The new St. Louis Jazz Bistro.
With SIA Software company, Sam Berkow developed SIA-Smaart, a leading acoustic measurement and system optimization tool.
Sam believes acoustical measurements should be designed and used to help us understand what we are hearing and how to best optimize system performance and system=room interactions.
