In 1984 Steve started Equity Sound where he designed and manufactured speakers for installations and sound reinforcement, then in 1996 Steve joined Harman's automotive division as a Senior Transducer Engineer. From 2000 to 2006 he managed Harman's global automotive acoustics Advanced Technology Group that included industry icons Dr. Richard Small and D. B. (Don) Keele. In 2006 Steve became an independent consultant working in pro, consumer and automotive audio where he has provided design, business and technology guidance for many companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He is currently manager of R&D at Eighteen Sound, Italy. Steve holds 15 issued patents, serves as Chair of the AES Standards Committee on Loudspeaker Measurement and Modeling and is a former board-member and past president of ALMA International.
