Ken's interest in audio started in high school. He borrowed a friend's tape deck to record the school's band (Ken played trumpet), along with some of the local rock bands in northern New Jersey. Eventually, Ken started working with these rock bands as their sound man and equipment tech. He also helped a friend start his own recording studio. All this was before he even turned 18.
After graduating high school, Ken went to work for a New Jersey sound company and later, a local promoter. In 1979, he began specializing in "Adult Contemporary" acts by taking a position as house sound engineer at Resorts International Hotel-Casino in Atlantic City. He then moved to the Sands Hotel later that year. Four years later, he was on the road with Shirley MacLaine and Engelbert Humperdinck. Ann-Margret, Paul Anka, Liza Minnelli, Barry Manilow, Anita Baker, Julio Iglesias and Chris Isaak all followed, once word of Ken's talent spread.
In 1994, Ken entered into the world of corporate events, and kept busy doing audio for corporate events whenever he wasn't working on a music show. In January of 2001, he joined the staff of Video Applications, Inc. (now called WorldStage) as "Senior Audio Engineer," and has handled the audio for such clients as AMD, Cisco Systems, Hilton, Honda, Hummer, Hyperion, Merck, Merrill-Lynch, Lifetime Network, sanofi-aventis, Nissan, Oracle, and many others.
After the untimely and sudden passing of the love of his life and wife of 11 years in 2011, Ken took back to the road with Barry Manilow in 2012, and currently works with him whenever he's touring, while keeping busy with corporate events the rest of the time.
Ken makes his home in Santa Clarita, California, with his three dogs.
