Dave Rat, founder and president of Rat Sound Systems of Camarillo CA, has over 30 years of experience in the live sound industry. Rat Sound currently tours with acts such as Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson and supports numerous festivals including the Coachella Music and Arts festival. In addition to running the company Dave can still be found working as the front-of-house engineer for The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink 182 and Soundgarden.
His MicroWedge loudspeaker designs, licensed to EAW, have received worldwide acceptance and are used by many sound companies.
Dave enjoys giving back to the live sound community and has become quite well known having been featured in publications such as Live Sound, Front of House, and regularly contributes to several industry web sites such as ProSoundWeb.
