Simon Busbridge

Dr Busbridge graduated with a first class honours degree in Physics with Physical Electronics from Brighton Polytechnic in 1985. Following a period as a Design Engineer with the Eurotherm Group he gained his PhD in magnetostrictive materials in 1993, a field in which he has published widely. He has always been interested in audio engineering and undertaken consultancies in the fields of environmental acoustics, high fidelity amplifier design and loudspeakers. He has published work on digital loudspeakers and dabbled in psychoachostics. More recently he has been involved with wind noise reduction in microphone arrays and microphone technologies. He now teaches physics and electronic engineering at the University of Brighton and at the INSA de Rouen in France.
