Ben Loftis is a product developer at Harrison Consoles. He was involved with several breakthrough innovations including the MPC5, IKIS automation, Xrange 64bit native processing, TFT meter bridge, Xdubber stem recorder, XTools plugins, Bricasti remote control, IKISDirect DAW remote control, ESP waveform views, and Object++ panning.
He is currently working on software for Harrison's Dolby Atmos implementation and is investigating new ways to manage 3D Objects through tools like "Food Groups" and 3D automation interchange with Nuendo. He is also the lead developer and product manager for Mixbus, Harrison's DAW for music mixing.
Prior to Harrison, Ben worked at Innovative Electronic Designs where he developed customized user interfaces for audio systems that are in use at NASA, Fort Knox, and other facilities throughout the world. Before becoming a software developer, he was a mechanical engineer in the auto and shipyard industries. Ben developed the audio "bug" while selling hifi equipment during college.
