Tom Hauser, an engineer, composer, and producer from Winston-Salem, NC, has always been amazed at the power of music and sound to transform the human experience. Tom works in all manner of sound for visual media. Tom can be found running around video shoots as a production sound mixer, fixing dialogue problems in his surround sound, ISDN equipped studio, and composing music and jingles for local film and corporate projects. Tom earned his Bachelor's of Music in Sound Recording Technology from Ithaca College, and his MFA in Film Music Composition from UNC School of the Arts. Tom has some great mentors in sound and music, including Alex Perialas, Brian Dozoretz, Jay Gallagher, Dave Clemmer, and Mike Andreas, and is grateful for all the support he's received to be in the position of presenting at AES at age 29.
