Jason Vogel is a trademark partner in the New York office of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton. He has extensive experience as trademark counsel for numerous entertainment and media companies, including Warner Music, Sony Music, EMI Records, Apple, Miramax, Turner Broadcasting and numerous individual artists, production companies and music manufacturers.
Prior to practicing law, Jason was a professional recording and mix engineer. His engineering credits include Run DMC, Public Enemy, Nas, Heavy D, Salt-n-Pepa, Naughty by Nature, Chaka Khan, Gerald Alston and Freddie Jackson. Jason has received one Platinum and four Gold RIAA Certified Records; he has engineered a Grammy-nominated single and has been a member and longtime attendee of AES. He has also played bass professionally, including as member of the official New York Rangers house band during the 2011-12 hockey season. He has an undergraduate degree in Music Production & Engineering from Berklee College of Music.
