JJ Golden

After graduating SAE technology school and working in London for 3 years, JJ returned to California in 1998 and began working as an engineer full time at Golden Mastering in California.
As a second generation mastering engineer, he has a unique perspective on music and mastering that has developed over the past 16 years.
JJ has been cutting lacquer masters for vinyl records since 1998 on a Neumann cutting lathe.
To accommodate the growing demand for vinyl records, he acquired an additional Neumann VMS-70 lathe in 2011. JJ is well known for his creative approach to mastering and for his ability to interpret and communicate in the languages of musician and engineer.
