Malcolm Dunn (BE, MIOA) is an Acoustician/Associate with Marshall Day Acoustics, Auckland with over 15 years experience in building acoustics encompassing projects within New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
Malcolm has been responsible for the acoustic design of civic buildings, schools, residential developments, recording studios, and tertiary education facilities. Recent projects include Oman Parliament (Majlis Oman, Al Bustan) and Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki – World Building of the Year 2013.
Malcolm has a special interest in the design of recording facilities - both music and broadcast. Previous projects have included: BBC Mailbox Birmingham, Digipost Post Production Complex, Bait Al Barakah FSLB music school and recording facility and Auckland University of Technology Communications School facility (Sir Paul Reeves Building).
