Jarrod Ratcliffe is a musician, engineer, researcher and educator. He is interested in user experience design and user interface metaphors in music creation and production contexts. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Audio Engineering and Production from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and is a recent graduate of New York University’s Masters Program in Music Technology. His Masters Thesis, “The Hand Motion-Controlled Audio Mixer: A Natural User Musical Interface” was granted the Best Graduate Student Project Award by NYU Music Technology faculty for 2014. He has since presented his research at the Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression at Goldsmiths University of London, and the IMPACT Conference at New York University.
