Geoff Hill is probably best described as a passionate engineer, he can get very frustrated when there is a better way to do something and no one else can see it.

Born a proto engineer, one of his earliest memories was of a Christmas Meccano Set, with his farther just coming inside from his workshop.

In the meantime he discovered Sound, Music and Electronics, building running a School Disco in the 197?'s. After qualifying in Electronics (City and Guilds FTC in Telecommunications if you must know). He co-founded Impulse - Horn Loudspeakers and Electronics, High Efficiency Loudspeakers at a time when the LS3/5a and LINN Kan's were all the rage…

This led Geoff to working with many major and minor companies from one man bands through to international companies with 200,000 plus employees, along the way he has designed everything from Automotive, Mobile Phone's, PA Systems & Hi-Fi systems ranging in price from sub $10 to £30,000 systems. For these he designed component parts ranging from 25mm Tweeters to 18" Sub Bass Drivers using FEA, CAD, BEM together with Statistical Analysis to prove the concept(s) before committing to manufacture, final products were then measured to International Standards in Anechoic Chambers or Loudspeaker test boxes often again specified in detail by Geoff.

His latest venture Hill Acoustics Limited, marks in many ways a return to his roots, combining 40+ years experience with a new team of experienced "Old Lags" with fresh new blood and idea's together with a determination to make a difference and do things better...
