Chris works in the audio research team at BBC R&D. His research is currently focussed on using binaural techniques in broadcasting to obtain a better quality of headphone listening experience for audiences. He helped to establish the BBC Audio Research Partnership in 2011, bringing together world-leading audio research laboratories. He is also the chair of the EBU technical group on 3D Audio and a PhD candidate at the University of York.
