Christian Epe studied classical percussion and sound engineering at Robert Schumann University and University of Applied Sciences Duesseldorf. During this time he worked as a drum teacher and freelance sound engineer. After his studies he worked at the Industrial Acoustics Company GmbH. Since 2012 he is a scientific asstistant in the department sound engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Duesseldorf.
