Dieter Leckschat

Dieter Leckschat studied Electrical Engineering at the Technical University in Aachen, Germany. In 1992, he achieved a Doctor-of-Engineering degree from Aachen University for his work on loudspeaker equalization with DSP technology and related aspects of sound perception. He worked for Siemens´ communication branch for seven years leading a work group for Audio and Acoustics Pre-development. Since 2000, Dieter Leckschat is Professor for Sound Engineering at University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany. His fields of interest comprise audio technology for the recording studio, electroacoustics and spatial audio, especially wave field synthesis. He serves as Faculty Advisor for the Düsseldorf AES Student section.
