Secondary Affiliation: Bedford, Bedfordshire, UK

Christopher Gribben is a post-graduate research student with the University of Huddersfield's Audio and Psychoacoustics Research Lab. Gribben also attended the University of Huddersfield at undergraduate level, graduating in 2013 with a First Class degree in Music Technology and Audio Systems – this allowed him to receive the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship for postgraduate research, and really pursue his auditory interests. During his undergraduate studies, Gribben undertook an industrial placement year working at Cass Allen Associates, an independent acoustics consultancy, where his focus was on environmental acoustics and noise modelling. Now at present, his research concerns the psychoacoustics of 3D surround sound, in particular the effect of height and how it can be produced. Gribben previously co-wrote a paper with Dr Hyunkook Lee on the recording of audio for height-channel loudspeakers, which was presented at the 2013 AES Convention in Rome.
