John Sarris

Ioannis (John) Sarris was born in Athens, Greece, in 1975. He received a B.Sc. degree in computer science from the University of Piraeus, Greece in 1999, and an M.Sc. degree in computer and information networks from the University of Essex, UK, in 2000. In 2006 he received a Ph.D. degree in room acoustics equalization from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens, Greece. In 2003 he spent a year as a visiting Ph.D. student at Acoustic Technology, Technical University of Denmark, under the program of European Doctorate in Sound and Vibration Studies, working on methods for spatially extended equalization in closed spaces. His main research interest is in the field of digital equalization techniques of room acoustics.
