He teaches courses and coordinates the Music Business program at New Jersey City University. Andy is a member of the Manhattan Producers Alliance.

Back in 1995 he opened Red House Productions (NJ), one of the very first ProTools III rooms in the New York area, and created award-winning work there, that included a 1998 composer award from Communication Arts magazine’s Interactive Annual. He has composed and arranged jingles, crafted corporate sound design, and worked for ABC-TV as a music editor for the children’s animated show, "Skydancers".

Andy was on staff at Sony Music Entertainment (2000-2004), ultimately as Associate Director of A&R Administration for the Sony Classical label. Following his tenure at Sony he has managed music clients and serves as a consultant for young, upcoming talent.

As a guitarist, he began a career as a NY studio musician in 1975, in time to enjoy the last decade of recording’s “golden era”. Andy toured throughout the US and abroad for eighteen years with singer/songwriters Ashford & Simpson, including a memorable performance with Teddy Pendergrass at 1983’s legendary Live Aid concert. He has accompanied many other notable music artists in concert, on record, and in nightclubs.

He’s been heard in the orchestras of numerous Broadway shows, with highlights including the hits Evita, Dreamgirls, Crazy For You, The Light in the Piazza, and the 2009 Tony-winning revival of HAIR. He appeared with the NY Philharmonic for the filming of Sondheim’s "Company" and performed in the American premier concert and recording of "Kristina" by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus (of ABBA fame) at Carnegie Hall.

Andy holds a Master's degree from NYU’s music business program, a Mus.B in Classical Guitar from the Hartt School, and a certificate in Advanced Union Leadership from Cornell University.
